A deck drawn for your lot, not a kit dropped on it.
Attached or freestanding, multi-level, lakefront or sloped-yard: designed, permitted and built by one crew.

Sloped
yards
Lake Stevens climbs from the shore. A sloped lot means taller posts, engineered footings and a deck that gives you flat ground where there was none.
Lakefront
Near-lake parcels are steep and wet. We plan drainage and retaining with the deck, not after it, and keep water moving away from the house.
Multi-level
Two or three levels break a big deck into a cooking level, an eating level and a sitting level, and handle the grade change on the way.
Design, permit, footings, frame, boards, rail.
Every custom deck starts with a free site visit and a drawing. If it is 200 sq ft or more, 30 inches off grade, or attached to the house, Lake Stevens needs a permit, and we pull it. Footings go below the soft till, the ledger is bolted and flashed, and the framing is pressure-treated.
On top, you choose composite or cedar, and we quote both. Railings, stairs and lighting are priced as line items so you can see what each adds.
- Free site visit and drawing
- Permit and inspections
- Engineered footings and drainage
- Composite or cedar, both quoted
Custom deck questions
Do you build on sloped or lakefront lots?
Yes. Much of Lake Stevens rises from the shoreline; decks there need engineered footings and drainage, which we plan for.
Do I need a permit?
In Lake Stevens, yes if the deck is 200 sq ft or more, 30 inches or more above grade, attached to the house, or serves the required exit door. We handle it.
How long does it take?
A typical deck is on site about a week once the permit is in hand; permit review time varies by city. You get the schedule with the written price.
Can I get both materials priced?
Yes. Composite and cedar are quoted side by side on every estimate if you want them.
